Went to this "Bollywood in Motion" performance today - lots of fun. Here are a few snaps. Tried to capture motion, not sure if it works or not.
Any comments and critique are very welcome.
Cheers
Alex

motion wise, the second one is probably captured the best. Usually if I want to capture motion, I tend to use rear curtain flash which is what I'm guessing you did for the 2nd pic.

Hi Wayne,
Yeah, rear curtain flash was used for all 3 images actually.
Thanks

it also helps if its darker
that way you can use a sower shutter speed
maybe get yourself a pair of ND 8 filters and use accordingly
good job though
moving things are very hard to capture

I saw this same group perform just before CHristmas, and they are very fast, high energy.
Very colorful pics.
The second and third have a strong shadow on the back wall, were you able to get good results bouncing of the white ceiling of the tent, or was it behind the performers?

Hi Bruce,
Thanks. No, tried bouncing it off the cieling - was too high to give bounce that would be of any use.
Yes, this group is very inergetic. There were a few togs there, most with Nikon DSLRs, quite surprisingly.
