I thought I would put up a few shots of Paris from a couple weeks ago, please let me know what you think.
It is such a photogenic city, i got more keepers there in 3 days than i have in london in 4-5 weeks!

The Effiel tower one is certainly a unique perspective that many tourists wouldn't have taken.

The graffiti one doesn't immdiately scream 'Paris', in fact it's seems like a very generic inner city sorta pic. Maybe that's not a criticism, I just fail to appreciate 'street art' I guess.

nice one of the Eiffel tower. I'd be tempted to clone out the bright spot to the left of the top of the tower.

Last one if very as well. I just wish you had the full bridge,

These images are all way too big. The smallest has a filesize of over 600K in size, the largest something in excess of 800!

And the images sizes each have a largest side of 1000px.

You need to (1) post images that, as a general rule, have their longest side that is not any larger than 800px, and (2) significantly reduce the filesizes, so that no image's filesize is greater than 200K; less than 100 is even better.

There is no reason why this cannot be achieved, and you can always embed a link to a high res version of the image so that members may, if they wish, view those higher res versions at their liesure.

I know that Peter has already asked you to review the FAQ, and you have stated that you did, so I'm puzzled as to why I needed to edit your post in the manner that I have.

I really like the last 2. The eiffel tower picture is very appealing. I'm not sure about the first one - the splash of red in the grey stands out.

Oh crap, sorry about that, I changed my settings to host some other pics earlier and i forgot to change them back.

i loved it there, fantastic city a little ruined by the french ppl who insist on using the streets as a urinal for themselves and their pets but maybe i was just stayed in the crappy bit.

Harry, my wife and I will be in Paris for a few days I think at this stage 3 days in late June. What would you suggest I visit, obviously the Eiffel Tower is on the list, but what can't I miss ? Cheers!

the first one is really cool
exposure on eiffel cool as well, i always missed blue hour in paris always stuck inside some museum or gallery

craig in paris you have to concentrate on the left bank latin quartre, Saint Germain De pres, marais and Montmartre(artists village)

thats the cool hip and happenin' bohemian 'artiste' areas, the right bank is much more wanky and upper class
unless you like that sort of thing

I would strongly recomend going on an open-top bus tour (sounds lame but keep reading) there are about 10 busses that do 3 different routes around paris just like a normal public bus only they have earphones which u listen to and you can get on and off the busses when u please all day, it gives you a great shooting perspective from on top of the bus and because it is open top you don't have to worry about shooting through dirty glass! It is the best thing i did, i got sooooo many shots!

Other than that, go on a train oput to some poorer areas for some increible urban decay style stuff, you wont believe how photogenic it is.

I turned the temp down slightly and gave it a little bit of contrast during the pp.
