Just received this morning - good enough to photograph.
I deliberately chose narrow DOF and natural lighting to give less "photographic" look:
D200, 17-55 DX at f2.8, northern window (click for larger pic):

Has a very artistic "Still Life" quality to it. I like it a lot. Very Nice

The shape of it. It's not quite a basket, but ceramically (not a word, but will do), it resembles a bucket with a handle.

It's more probably a basket really. It's made of wood, it's just not the usual woven type. You do see containers like this in some European fruit shops.

It has a nice quality for this type of photography.
