Brighton beach boxes

Decided to head back to the beach last night for some more shooting. Since I've moved to the area...this is the first time I've actually gone down to the beach boxes which is a bit embarassing

Also can you let me know if it's too dark on your screen? On mine it's fine when in RAW, but after I convert to jpg it seems a tad underexposed :?

Yes I agree. The whole atmosphere brings back great memories, staying down at the beach on holidays with the family, late in the day and possibly just a tad cooler, fish and chips on offer.

The colours are great, all great.

Love them. A fraction dark for me on my screen. These may be of interest to Ozbeachside who was looking for some Melbourne images for a friend

I like them.

I have only been down there in the rain.

Some feedback, perhaps try just a little earlier in the day, but not much. THe harsh shadows in the sand add lots of black to the sands.

Also, check out the view just a little further down the coast, look back towards this beach, and you can get the CBD as a back drop to these bathing boxes...

G'day Sacha,

Should've come up and said Hi :) As long as you didnt' mistake me for a Japanese tourist I wouldn't have been offended ;)

I had a few of the sunset but not really post worthy...a tad boring :)

#1 is my fave, #3 doesn't do anything for me, its a nice photo, but maybe a lower viewpoint to take away some of the attraction of all the rocks in the sand.

I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"

slightly dark on my LCD (at work :) )

Great first and last shot...

Last shot could be improved if you crouched down to take out the background houses etc...

Well done..

Wayne,

Love the 1st with the warm light, but I would Clone out the power pole and line to make the shot.

Cheers,

Mic.

Wayne, like the look of the colours in all 3, but can't say they look dark, just richly saturated. I think the 3rd shot just needs somthing/someone in forwground to help fill the space, as all that rough sand is a bit ugly. Don't know why you didn't go down earlier and rake the sand neatly.
