Ahoy folks,

Would have liked to have had these posted sooner, but it appears that Goulburn, or maybe just the POlice academy, has CRAP internet access.

Anywhoo, these are a few of my images. This was the first time shooting motorbikes. They seem easier than V8 supercars I must say.

The day had good weather and good company, with Paul and Jeff both there. Hows the camera Jeff? And Paul, hows that lens going?

Nice work!

#1 is probably the pick of the 3 here. Focus is dead on and it's tack sharp. The second bike in the background adds to the action.

I too like #1, with the OOF rider in the background only helping to enhance the strength of this image.

#2 is a pearler too, with the rider's head turned directly - almost defiantly, even - towards the camera, as if to ask "who the hell you are, taking this photo?" while he is busy trying to complete the race.

Great work Alan,hope Goulburn was not to troublesome. The camera still has an intermitted fault ,maybe I should get a new body.

Great work Raskill. I am also a fan of the first shot - love the OOF rider in the background.

When I saw the second shot my first thoughts were "what's that rider up to? - doesn't seem to need to see where he's going".

Thanks folks. I like number 2 the best. All three images are really sharp, but I reduced them for posting, and they all seem a bit softer than I would have liked.

PPing was cropping, saturation and contrast. I like my motorsport images to be a bit contrasty, gives them a nice 'magazine' feel.

I'm going to have to try and get back to EC for another motorbike round and improve. I'd say about 60-70% of my shots were keepers, which I'm very happy about. Need to get it up over 90% to be content though.

Jeff, your right, you need a new camera. Maybe a D2x? Or maybe 2 of them?
