Critiques welcome., this concept is "Environmental Portrait" Thank you for your time. Juztin ![]() ![]() ![]()
Cool shots.
#1 There is something distracting in the background of the first shot - could be some large vent pipe. Would look much beeter if you cloned that out. I like the composition. Maybe brighten the subject a little. #2 Don't know what it is - but there is something that really appeals to me about this shot. Leave this one as it is. Love it. #3 Great concept but the subject appears needs to be a little brighter. Well done. Cheers, Mick ![]() ![]() ![]()
Backlighting is awesome in the first and 3rd pics, though lack of light on the model's face really lets it down. Instead of lighting the entire model, I suggest a snooted flash directed at the model's face will be enough to really bring her out.

Come follow the rabbit hole...
Juztin,
Good to see you posting again. I really like No. 2 and 3. No. 3 is a tad too dark though. Alex
Definately a powerfull feeling about number 2, i really like that shot. Well done

Here is my two cents
#1 Take out the silver round thing in background #2 Nice pose and backlight with overpowering flash. #3 My favourite but wish the subject was brighter (or is it my monitor?) PS: Mitchell good to see you around. Hope life is good.
Is that a bubble floating in #1?
#2 is my pick #3 has great lighting, but I think the model probably is in the wrong spot for the lighting, hence she is too dark. I think a flash would spoil it. Maybe a reflector giving her a soft highlight might work and waring lighter coloured clothing so she stands out from the shelves. That looks like a good location to play with ideas. Thats my 2c worth
