RAAF Airshow Shots

I made it to the RAAF Airshow on the weekend. The weather was far from perfect, but we still had a great day.
I shot all day with the 70-200VR + 2xTC. The loss of two stops was annoying with the heavily overcast skies. And the lighting seemed to get worse as the day went on.
You can see the rest of my airshow pics in my gallery HERE

Some wonderful shots there. Love the one with the guy hanging out the back of the plane!
The overcast weather has given a nice backdrop for these pictures
Well done

Excellent clear shots here considering the overcast conditions, you've done very well. Love the first one, the swept wings make the F111 look fearsome.

Great shots...
With the first one I would be interested to see what would happen if you purposely blew out the sky in PP to try to maximise the contrast in the Jet...
Love the patterns in the exhust

The second shot is great . Neat composition .
I was going to go out there on saturday but woke up too late and the weather looked shocking .
Any pictures of the aircraft on the ground ? How was the access ?

Thanks Stubbsy. I tried hard this airshow to get some prop blur.
The VR helped heaps in this regard.

I didn't attempt get any shots of the stationary aircraft.
In fact the only vehicle I looked at on the ground was Holden's new SS.

Very nice photos. The crop in the first one is especially pleasing to the eye.
Love the third one.. Probably nicer with a moodier sky rather than blue...
