Noosa River Expedition

This week Kevin (Mitedo) & I met in total darkness to await the rising of the sun over Noosa River, but it just sort of dribbled over the horizon, so we concentrated on the closer items around us. This first one was just before the sun came over the top.

Second one may look a little busy at first, but I like the "concentrated boating" look of it and the light wasn't bad either. Nice and soft with the sun appearing finally

Finally, At the far end of a long walk along the riverfront, the ever present pier.

All good clean fun and definitely the best time of the day, but when you are getting up at 3.30am three days a week, it sometimes gets a bit yawny :D

Col The 1st & 3rd for me, although I'd like a touch less sat in #1. The framing really makes #3

Yes peter, the shed looks a bit too bright, but that is all part of their marketing plan. Bright colours stand out, besides the incoming brightness was making it's presence felt.
The third one had to wear the bright background as I was staring right into the sun, so without some fancy cut & paste, that's the way it is baby  As it is, I merged two images with the old digital ND filter technique to get the dynamic range.

Anyway, we only have to be happy with them. Perfection can come later. Ah, the elusive target.
Thanks folks
Col

Are you sure it was Kevin? Did he give you the secret handshake? :)

I love all three of these images. The colours, the reflections off the water, the mood ... you've captured some very elusive elements, and you've done very well.
