Wildflowers like you have never seen before greeted Radar, Stubbsy & myself when we ventured into the reserve near Redhead in Newcastle. Textures and tiny splashes of colour eveywhere. Here are three of the textured variety

This is an interesting group of which #1 is the real standout for me. The framing of that cluster of seed cones against the blue of the sky works exceptionally well.

Like Peter,
#1 really works well. It's a left over seed cluster from the bush fire that went through there a few years back.

The first two are so bold, the stark scraggly branches against that solid blue sky...

Yeah, it really is difficult to get a good background working in this thickly populated heathland type environment. You either have to shoot up or really concentrate on the depth of field a lot. Thanks for the comments folks.
