I was really silly on Sunday, and took Des up on the offer to try his 80-200. While not not VR, it's certainly a lovely lens


80-200 2.8 @ 200mm handheld, 1/250th f2.8

It's a dangerous lens, and I probably should have gone for a higher f-stop - not sure if this would be better with both eyes in focus, or whether the emphasis on just one eye makes the shot.

It's a surprisingly good portrait lens, isn't it? Devilishly fast, and sharp too.

Going to cost you a fair few diamonds though.....

Very nice Leon, the 80-200 are a great lens and have moved downwards on the second hand front, great buying either s/h or a new one or equivalent Sigma
