this is part 2 from the TAFE Coser award Student Fashion Show - backstage

whenever i take a picture i'm always thinking about the lighting design in a scene, every shot i take i assign a different lighting concept to complement the overall image. Lots of things affect the lighting design of a scene like ambient light, pose, the fashion

all achieved with 1 sb800 free on a sc29 cord

this one is hard lit at 11 'o' clock the hard light(naked flash) suited the model and fashion
Image

expression is off on this one, but i'm postign it to show the effect of bounce flash off off a wall with a coloured reflective surface, the light is much softer and difussed wider to accommodate a full length shot, i think the bounced surface was red oak in colour hence the reddish cast, if i hard lit this one at 11'o' clock hand holding flash 1 meter away i woudl not of got evenly distributed lighting full length, so bounce flash helps me with full length
Image

another bounce flash from the side, image underexposed deliberately for mood
Image

im most happy with this one, bounce flash off a mirror in a white room with 1 static irradescent light on the left of the model, shot at high shutter sync to get the dark tone, on a brightly lit scene

Great work Wendell. I like the moods you have gotten with each image, but that might also be enhanced with the facial expressions on the models too.
