I have started shooting people again, don't panic I don't use a gun, just my trusty polariod camera.
These shots are part of a series for a project I have with some new street fashion labels. Obvioulsy not for the Vogue style labels.
All shots in my favourite derelict buildings, no flash, natural light only.
The dark look is intentional for some of these images.
Just b/w conversions, with no 'grungy' effect added.

i like the framing in the last pic marty. the first pic is pretty cool as well, but would have liked to see a bit more light on her face.

Marty - same usual good work by you but on my laptop screen there are a few distracting blown higlights in the first two shots. The model looks at ease and comfortable working with you, and that in itself is pleasing. The poses and compositional aspects work well! Nice to see some posts from you after a small 'drought'.

Some beautiful backgrounds and excellent B&W treatment. Need to see more of the model and she needs to interact with the camera a little more. You are nearly perfect!

Marty - all excellent and, unlike Matt, my thoughts are that there is an interactivity between the location and the young lady. If anything I would suggest a crop down in the last shot to remove the top right moulding.

Matt.K, this is a friend, she isnt a model, and I only want natural poses, but I did find it hard to direct the poses/positions.
Geoff, I dont see the highlights here, but these are 'save for the web' version which Photoshop enhaces for web viewing. Not really a drought, just too busy with 'real' work and personal projects.
Piro, thanks for the idea, I am considering a reflector as I only like to use natural light, and the combination of dark hair, dark clothes and dark location show in some of my images.
Chris, I will try a crop, I was trying to use the grafitti to keep the interest in the location.

Here is one with more eye contact.
I went for high key style pp, but sadly this loses the details in the dark clothing.
And the 'save for the web' version does blow it out a little (thanks for mentioning Geoff )
