Recently acquired a 105mm micro, my first "serious" lens. Used, but as new condition.

Here are some shots taken at the weekend of my daughter & grandson. I love this lens already. :D :D

And here is a feeble macro attempt. Lots to learn here.

C & c welcome as always.

Cheers, John

John - the 105 is a great lens (no matter what make) for both the micro world and portraits. Pin sharp - can see you are enjoying the the lens :D

Geez, for a frightening moment I thought that third shot was a nipple.

Great shots Jed, and it is a great lens - you'll have a lot of fun with it.

Lovely images John - well done. Good to see a man who knows his onions.

Used the sb600 bounced off the ceiling for the portraits, built in flash for the onion.

Greg B .... you need to get out more

Thanks to the rest of you for your positive comments.

I had planned on getting an 85mm f1.8 as my next lens, but the opportunity to pick up this one was too good to let pass. I don't think I jumped the wrong way.

Cheers, John

Firstly, I meant the fourth shot obviously.

Secondly, Geoff - it was fleeting and foolish moment.

Thirdly, John, yes I need to get out more (or something!)

cheers

Can't see.

Can't count.

Greg, can I offer you a job as a football referee?

John, nice work. # 3 is beautifully sharp, and the nipple macro is so sharp it makes my eyes water. :)

Nice portraits John, as for the the last shot, the owner of that nipple must have breastfed the baby till the age of 25.

Greg,

I believe that you can do wonders with an ear of fresh corn.
