Fantastic work Tim - now you'll just have to design a pheromone that makes him fly TOWARD you, not away!

The flower makes this more interesting than the average bug shot. Nice one. :)

Good shot Tim.

I appreciate how hard it can be to get a mid air shot of a hoverflies.

I generally use AF-C when shooting flying hoverflies. My MF skills are not up to scratch.

Another good shot Tim. Perhaps a few alternate views of this little bug would have been even more impressive. Keep them coming.

Very nice Tim, my only complaint is the large white blob in the bottom left corner :) You need a more subtle version as it is distracting from your excellent work. Am I sick of insects on this site? No way!

Great shot Tim. I don't know how you do it but I find flys don't hang around long enough for me to swat them, let alone photograph them.

Tim, I'd have to agree with this too. I find it a bit too distracting.

They are only crappy bug shots if you actually catch them crapping. :D I remember Mark caught one crapping at the Buderim minimeet. :D
I like the yellow flower makes the little critter really stand out.
