Hi all,

I've been shooting some motorsport recently with my new 18-200 VR, and thought I'd post a couple of pics to the R&C thread (my first time)....feel free to critique, these are straight from the camera with only sharpening PP.

taken at round 6 of the Australian supermoto championships - 24th June

taken at Round 3 of the Queensland Championships - 28th May

thanks

Great shots Griffo,

Love the concentration in the first and the second just screams "ouch" should the bike slip out from under the rider. Captured the action nicely.

Got any more to share?

Yes mate, thanks for the comments, take a look at the selection at Flickr

I'm a bit disappointed with the sharpness of these images during PP / reduction.

Griffo, couple of good shots there. I was hoping to get someof the action here this month as they were going have a round down here in SA but it got cancelled so i will have to wait to see if they ever decide to do a round here as have watched on tv and looks like lots of action,
Well done on the pics.

These are fantastic, the sport looks to be potentially very painful. I didn't realise riders put their leg out on surfaced circuits!

the only thing that you don't get from the pics is how fast they actually go.
In some of the pics at the end of the long straight, they're doing close to 150-160 km/h......and sliding sideways, it keeps you on your toes
