Nice shooting, especially like the 1st 3 pics, you've captured the essence of speed in these.......nicely panned.

I got a couple. This is the best one. Added a couple of other good pics as well.

Your panning technique seems half reasonable, especially seeing it's your first motorsport shots

Thanks. It was all handheld. I saw a few people with 70-200 2.8 IS using monopods or tripods and i figured they must be a little weak. lol

Yeah you tell em! nice shots. Whish I was there, but at least there was a holden up the front. Sorry to all blue oval fans

Thanks for posting these, as James Courtney is a local Penrith boy and raced karts against my son I have a special interest in his future. Unfortunately he 'blew' his F1 chance but that's another story.
