'Celebrities'

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

'Celebrities'

To celebrate 'heart day' (or week) we had Channel Sevens 'Sunrise' weather being done from Bathurst. Grant Denyar and Erika Heynatz were in town to promote the morning.

I managed to get a few shots, but due to the -1 degree temperture and a serious lack of desire on my part, I didn't pursue to many angles.

All shot with the 70-200VR, natural light. Slight PPing due to heavy fog lessening the contrast.

Image

I like this one because the kid in the background is pulling a stupid face also. Not sure what was going on, but I'll send the image to 'Sunrise' and see if they want to take the piss.

Image

Not a bad shot of Denyer. I was hoping to get some direct looks, but to no avail. Oh well, can't win them all...

Image

Erika Heynatz eating cake from her fingers. I got a few shots of this. I think this one needs to be cropped to get rid of the bush in the bottom right.

I'll be using these images (and the others I got) for a 'freelance photojournalist' course I'm doing).

Any C&C appreciated.

I am sure that a good Brazilian will get rid of any bush that is in the way :D :D I don't mind volunteering to crop it out!

Thanks mate. I don't mind the images, the colours sure came out okay and the images seem sharp enough. I guess the lens is trying to have it's last hurahh...

Glad you ot your new lens. Anything on at Eastern Creek this weekend. Wakefield park is constantly busy if you are desperate. What about something on the harbour? Good luck, really looking forward to seeing the new pics. :D

Work today play tomorrow. Will probably steer clear of the track and spend some time with Pauline but I'm sure the camera will raise it's head.
