I met some old friends (best mates from Highschool) while in Canberra and they didn't have a choice they were having their photo's taken more then once. Anyways while I was bored on the way home I did some fiddling (more so then usual) but accidently hit draganizer action so thought what the heck, anyways here are the results, anyone interested in them ? I can understand if your not.

So what is the draganizer action?

The first one seems to be a bit out of focus, (or it may just be me).

The second one seems a bit lacking in color, however what really stood out to me in this one is the amount of texture you can see on his face. It seems almost surreal

Nathan - The Dragaziner action is a CS2 action you can download that trys to achieve a certain look in post processing.
The look is that of Andrze Dragan a famous (I only found out about him on this forum) Portrait photographer, he certainly isn't everyone cup of tea, but the affect give a dirty/grungey texture to portraits..

http://andrzejdragan.com/ will give you plenty examples of the real works of art.

I sometime play with the action but this time it was by accident (they are next to my resize action).

You are right about the first it was a moving shot so there is a fair bit of blur involved and the second is intentionally drained of colour (more so then just the action).

Fortunately my friends already have interesting faces.

Ahh, well it explains the very distinct look of the images. The effect is not to my taste, but I can see how it could be used to create very powerful portraits.

I love the PP process. Your friends really do stand out as great subjects for the process.

Nice Craig, very nice.
That action is awesome. Nice isolation of the subjects mate. Liking these a lot.

I don't mind the movement on the first, it adds to it in my eyes.

I like both of these Craig. #1 would be my favourite.

So you have this effect as an action in PS? Where did you download the action?

Here is the link to the action.

I've also now leart to use the burn tool, so I did a fair bit of soft burning to lessen the impact of the background in both these shots. Kind of like handpainting a soft vignetting on the shots.
