Barrie, I'd have to say these don't have the same appeal or impact that your previous shots have had, these just don't seem to work for me.
The distortion and colours just bug me in this case, rather then help tell the story.

#1 doesn't do much for me, but I really like the grittiness of #2.

2nd shot looks very homeless like! if thats such a phrase. I like the contrast of the 2nd

like the comp on the first
2nd one has that urban coolness to it but the colours make it look a bit off
i would imagine this image treated with some desaturation in line with it's theme
anyway just wondering is the nikkor is 10.5mm and it's considered a fisheye
how come yours at 10mm don't really llok that fisheye they look just ultra wide?

not sure why, but is it because it isnt a fisheye lens?
i read an article the other night (forgot the link) that explained the difference between a fisheye and a UWA lens.
anyways, nice shots, like the content of 2 but the colours of 1.
ooh this is an old-ish thread too! just discovered it whilst looking for those photos...
