Love # 1 Pharmer. Whats the trade secret to getting the forground flowers so vibrant and the background near b&w?
Great shots.

Interesting effect on #1 Pharmer. Personnally it works for me although saturating the colours that much could have been a grave mistake

Great shots.
Thanks.
Thats the colour the background was, a very grey afternoon with weak light.
The flowers in the front were lit by flash, which accounts for the vibrancy in comparison to the background.

Very nice pair of images here, Barrie. The 1st one is a nice use of depth of field and great colour. Maybe the flash is a millionth too harsh? Not a problem though. Cloudy and stormy days can really sock that colour in due to the lack of sun reflection on the petals. I like the fresher approach of looking up under the flowers instead of the "Down the Throat" stereotype too.
No. 2 is VERY nice indeed. Light is just right. i like the dead petal as well to break the "niceness" and give a good focal point for the viewer. Nothing here I don't like.

Barry, lovely as usual. I particularly like the first one. The grey, dead cemetry, contrasted with the vibrant, life of the flowers.

Cheers Col and Suzanne.
Shooting flowers at the cemetary makes a change from the regular and depressing gravestone shots (although, got plenty of those too)

Lovely shots Barrie.
I've always found cemeteries have some little pockets of hope and inspiration amongst the gloom and sadness. It makes an interesting juxtaposition, as you've acheived in the first shot. Great stuff.

First one fits the title perfectly Barrie!
Don't think I'm quite game enough to start trawling through cemetaries
