There is something about stained glass that has a timeless appeal. The images below are all from St Mary's Catholic Church in Mudgee. This is a beautiful church that has a series of lovely painted frescos as well (see THIS THREAD). More shots of the church can be found HERE.

The three interior shots were taken with the 24-120 VR. The first shot of the church exterior was taken with the 12-24 DX

Love the second photo PEter. How did you get the statue to glow? Fill flash or HDR?

I agree it's a pretty nice result Wayne and probably my favourite from the church.

Nothing special - no flash, no HDR, just available light (the lights in the church were on). The rest is just post processing. Here's the untouched original 1/13 sec @ F8, ISO 400, with -1.7 EV so as not to blow the highlights in the stained glass. Lens was 24-120 VR:

Great work Peter, but you know I have a soft spot for stained glass!

#1 I like the composition, nice strong lines of the driveway leading up to the Church, I'd prefer a little more space above the spire but that my only niggle

#2 Love number two, especially after seeing the original before you PP it, perhaps a good example to go into the tutorial section if you still have a record of all your steps ?

#3 #4 Lovely, nice and sharp and exposure looks perfect on my LCD.
