Duck season again.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Is this a composite? Somehow the reflection doesn't seem to match...

Nice muted tones, though.

Cheers
Steffen.

No, not a composite, the reflections are from the top part that's been cropped. There has been extensive PP though.

I like this... the PPing is great
the only thing that worries me is the white and blue reflections in the bottom right as they tend to draw your eye to the corner and then out of frame
maybe you could do a color shift/desaturate on them to bring them more into line with the main coloring of the shot

I agree, the best duck shot I've seen in a while. The blue ducks fit perfectly into the pale-blue and gold scenery. And they're small enough not to ruin the image :D

Cheers

A first nice duck photo to start with the new season.
It's better than the photo of the "duck" on Sydney Harbour named SOH.

Hey Wally, are you going to night school? Your grammar and spelling has really improved overnight. If so, you are a fast learner

A magnificent watercolour there without all of the messy paints. Splendiferous!!
The hot white reflections in the right lower corner disturb me. Clone/patch them out and AAHH!! I'm happy.

Me - I likes this one.
It looks like a picture of a painting.
Guess that was the intent.
Just wonder where the shiny black Retriever Dog is??
