Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Birds to ViewHere are a couple of recent images taken locally on the Sunshine Coast for the bird freaks. Have you ever noticed how hard it is to get ducks to smile? Please let me know what your opinions are. Different folks make for different views

Yes, you are right here. This is the first one uploaded to the forum and I think it needs a hit with levels after viewing it myself. A bit more drama in there. I will watch this in future uploads. My monitor is calibrated to my Epson 7800 printer, not the web so much.
Thanks for the mention. Col
The first is quite nice, but the reeds near the birds face detract from the image (a little too cluttered). The white ducks in #2 look a little blown to me?

Yeah guys, the uploads are coming online paler than original, I will have to watch that in future, but thanks for the feedback. The first one will receive a bit more attention soon. I suffer from the old "So much to do & so little time" syndrome
