Thanh....Stubbsy can take these in the mid day/high noon sun too as long as he has his 20 stop NASA Shuttle grade ND Filter

Stubbsy did well with his afternoon/Sunset shoot yesterday, same type of light...just a touch more difficult for me  We all have our preferences....beaches are empty in the sunrise which is good for me in finding comps 8)

Good composition, my eye goes straight to the foreground rock before taking in that fantastic sky... Nice color and tones too...

The beach is a great place early in the morning...

Is this a competition between you and stubbsy for best seascape at the moment'?

You know I enjoy your pics Paul, the softness that you produce makes for very pleasant viewing.

This one though isn't one of your best (i think you know that), although i absolutely love the sky. The foreground isn't up to the dominant sky though imho.

Competition? What competition! Rare to see me up before the sun.

Nice pic Paul, but as Leon says, you've done better.

Paul looks like you went to one of my favorite beaches
Turrimetta beach

Image

this was taken about 4 days after I got my D200 and as I'm still learning how to use it now my level of competency then was no where near yours and it shows in this shot... I must get back there and do better

every shot I have seen from this beach is different as in no 2 shots are ever the same there.... no ducks here Birddy :)

Keith, it's a beautiful and very picturesque beach :!: That rock you captured seems to be very popular as is the beach for photographer's.

Maybe we will bump into each other early one morning

Yes I have :!: I was getting irritated taking this (not at least I have the flu too  ) as I just couldn't get detail from the rock because of the constantly pounding waves. Very frustrating

Should have gone back for a sunset shot today

Hi Paul
I like the image - great colour and composition.
But is it a bit soft? I couldn't get EXIF, and I'm wondering about shutter speed.
