Paul you must be the expert on this little geographical location. I think they may have to rename it to 'Lostdingo Point'
I like the shot but something just doesn't sit well. It certainly isn't an image, like others you have posted that smakcs you straight in the eyes and says look and marvel at this scene.
Having said that there is a delightful tension created between the deep blue of the horizon and left side of the image, which I agree gives it a certain cold feeling, and the warmth proffered by the golden light of the lower right side of the image and it is beautifully exposed.
I wonder if cropping the bottom of the image so that the lower right corner roughly meets the lower right edge of the baths, creating somewhat of a sort of pano, would improve the composition? I find that there is too much empty space at the bottom of the frame that does mot really add anything to the quality of the shot. It then allows the warmly lit wall to gently take ones eyes out to the colder horizon. Hope this makes sense Paul.
