With the weather being very ordinary and all for the last couple of days, I've turned to indoors material for subjects :D

The camera was sitting there... and I was waiting...

C&C welcome :D

Yeah, I know Smeg the Stove needs a clean :)

The lighting has a very strong colour cast normally - halogen down spots.

Daniel,

lovely food;pad Thai.
I think I have spotted your favourite (the glass of wine ... !)
Why do I think so ?
Which of the photos is most in focus; has the best sharpness ?

Yummy,
CD

Nicely done Daniel. #1 is weakest for me. The WB is still a little out (too warm) and the DOF is a bit too shallow. As a cluinary aside - I sure as hell hope that you aren't boiling rice in that saucepan. Rice should be steamed

#2 is the best for me and I like the carefully placed whole lime and lime segments to balance the image. Hope it wasn't too cold when you got to eat it.

#3 - good shot. Great DOF, nice composition. Wine looks a little lacking in body, but I guess a gutsy Hunter Shiraz wouldn't go too well with the Pad Thai.

Nice Work Daniel,

Sure beats the college grunge we get. That is really not that hard though come to think of it. :?

WB is a bit warm though. :P

Cheers,
Tristan

Stubbsy - my cooking is a bit like my photography - scary as all hell when you see it in action, but it gets the results :)

Fear not, it wasn't rice as such in the pan, it was the rice stick noodles.
I thought that someone would have pulled me up on the frypan - alas, my Calphalon wok was put in the dishwasher (not me, not happy!) and it's never been the same :(

The red wasn't too bad at all. Must go and get some more - Brown Brothers - Everton 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz. Not top shelf, but not rubbish either.

Christian - the secret is out!

Tristan - I know some scary stories about what goes on in those kitchens. At least I know where my ingredients and utensils have been!
I always reckon college food builds immunity for the rest of your life :)

MMM Industrial food! brings back memories the mess cooks used to complain when we threw cutlery at the rats as they ran across the floor.

Grace was said before every meal "from what we are about to consume may the good lord deliver us"

Nice shots but I think the red wine photo need more practice

Do it again untill you get it right
:D
