Baroon Sunset

Just a couple of images from last nights sunset. I bracketed all exposures and had my first go at blending two images with the second one. I like the composition of #1 better but I like the effect of the blending in #2, especially on the water.
C+C please.

Great colours, aren't they!

Interesting - we had similar cloud patterns this morning - in Tassie!

Not all over Tassie, unforunately.
I agree, though, great colours and cloud patterns. #1 does it for me, more contrast than #2. I'd like it even more if it had the red clouds from #2 though.
Cheers

Two pretty nice sunsets, can't say I like the effect of the blending in #2 - just seems unnatural and too "grey". Fantastic colours though.

Thanks guys. My mind is still out on the blending in #2. :? When I get a chance I will pp a couple of the other shots similar to #1 but have colour like #2.
This seemed to be a popular sunset last night. There were four other people taking shots along the same piece of road.

Are you using PSCS 2 HDR to blend the shots?

HDR High Dynamic Range available on Photoshop cs 2

It will merge up to 7 exposures into one taking the correct exposure value for each area.

Dug
Just had a poke around PSCS2 and found the merge to hdr command. I did not use it for this picture but will try it when I get a chance.
Thanks for the tip.
