So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Another attemptHere is another version of a series of portraits I took today. This one doesn't have blown background, but as Matt pointed out, everything leads out of image.
Any comments would be appreciated Thanks Alex ![]()
A pensive shot. I think I would like both eyes to be in focus. There is a hot spot on the lips. I don't really know the context of the shot but the face shows all the skin "imperfections" that a sharp lens can bring out . If it were me I would increase the DOF to get both eyes in focus, and then work on the face in PS to smooth out the irregularities on the skin of the face.
Thanks, Shakey. I thought about softening the skin but then decided not to go for it as this girl is not a teenager and her skin is not supposed to be silk smooth, but I might make a soft versions (glamor look).
