I was looking through my less than spectacular shots from the darling harbour mini meet and started playing with this shot
the original shot looked the same as the other shots posted by Stubbsy and co.



using Rawshooter pro I desaturated, boosted fill light, boosted exposure then played with highlight/shadow contrasts to bring back some of the detail
then I moved to Photoshop for sharpening, resizing and border
this post processing brought some grain with it... but I don't mind that

yes its very unusual to see a ship so close to a lighthouse.

Great shot . I love the effect you've achieved, very unusual and original image. I'd be tempted to bring out the reds a tad more but that's just nitpicking.

You've done well with this and, as already said, it really brings out the odd juxtaposition of the lighthouse and the mast.
