Grabbed this on the way home. Sunset colours are getting better and better. Just need a few clouds to add some more interest :D

Nicely Exposed! Beautiful, I say bring on the winter sunsets!

Some clouds, a sailboat or a dolphin/whale breaching would make this Outstanding, as is its brilliant.

I'll be honest and say this one doesn't do a lot for me. While it's well framed and the colours are nice they lack real punch and, more importantly, there isn't enough in the image to grab my attention & hold it. Would have been stronger with more in the foreground I think. Sorry

What's the reason for the spectacular sunsets this time of year? Anyone?

Jonas part of the reason is the clear skys. No heat haze clouds etc.

Lovely image Mark. I saw the best sunrise i have ever seen last Sunday. Unfortunately I was on the bike going to work, it was very distracting fora about 30 minutes whilst travelling accross the top of the range.

Thanks for the feedback folks, both for and against.

Initially I wasn't going to post this but I kept coming back to the colours and the clear sky. The blurred unusal look of the water also drew me back to it so up it went.

Interesting to see the differing opinions. Personally I would have liked something else in frame (none of the birds or boats wanted to cooperate) but I still like it for it's simplicity.

It's only a short detour to go home that way so I will be keeping a close eye on the sky :D

I like it. Simple.

I see it as a good image for the use in magazine spreads, with some text against the bottom 1/4 of it on the left or something like that.

Mark,

A scene of sheer tranquility.

Not a world-beater of a shot but I like the simplicity of it.

Cheers
