Hey guys, i really like what this image could have been, but im not sure if i have pp it correctly. I had a play with the shadows to try and bring out the trees some more but i think it may look a bit silly. Please tell me what you think.

Yes it looks a bit silly. Tone down the Shadow/Highlights adjustment and try again. This is a good image and just needs a better PP treatment.

Still no good FOR ME, of course it may be fine for you  since it's all subjective. I think the problem is that when we see reflections in an image we expect the reflections will be darker. In these images they lack that contrast.

The landscape version has merit as the clouds tend to lead the eye to the horizon, however the lack of contrast and sharpness IMHO puts the pic down.

Also can you please reduce the size of the pics to 800 pixels width (maximum) - it'll help the users on smaller screen res :)

Here's a quick and dirty of what I'm talking about. I reduced the saturation slightly, increased the contrast and added a graduated neutral density filter effect to lighten the top & darken the bottom.

If you don't want me playing with your image, just say and I'll delete it.
