There's some lovely colours and textures in #1, but I'd prefer a larger DOF so that the whole shot would be in focus.

The dark bottom right corner in #2 pulls my eyes away from the intended fine detail - a judicious crop may help here.

Fantastic sharp images though, and the colour is excellent :D

Finally, these pics are pretty huge. A small resize down to ~800 on the long size would make viewing much easier for those of us with a screen res of 1280x1024.
So join in the chorus, and sing it one and all!

I prefer the first shot here.

I think it would better suit computer display as a landscape rather than portrait also.

#1 looks a little oversharpenned although i like the inclusion of the seed pods to give a focal point.

Nice colours in these earthy autumny shots.

Pall,
Nice textures and colours.

As you may have read on the front page and also in the faq, there is maximum size on this website for any image of 800 pixels in its largest dimension, and 200kb. Can you resize your images to fit into that?

Thanks

Pall, I like the first shot. I think the over sharpening in parts, and the out of focus areas add to the textures. Great colours.

Just what do you think you're doing Dave?
