Really nice capture of the autumn colours. The quality is excellent. 1st and 2nd shots are my favourite with the warm colours.

Daniel

You really are on a colour bender ATM aren't you. Love the high sat treatment on #1 and it's my pic here. Interesting composition too. #2 and #3 don't grab me as much. I do, however, think #4 works very well.

The circumsized polariser makes all the difference. :D :D

I prefer the first pic. The colours and composition create a very strong capture.

I also like the way you've managed to capture the light reflecting off the leaves in the 4th pic.

The other two pics don't do it as much for me as they don't quite grab me

Beautifully captured Dan, it takes an eye to get images like these, it's not a case of just going into the autum of Canberra and going snap. Images #3, and #4 really appeal to me. Thanks for sharing these beautiful images.

I've just browsed through your excellent website and am impressed with the quality of the imagery. I noticed one thing though...there are no people in your photographs! Is that a conscious decision?

Daniel,
I love the colours but to be brutally honest it looks tooooooo cold for me to ever want to visit

Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated.

The composition in #1 came about after a "wonder what that looks like from the laying on the ground" thought and a brief dog poop check :)

Stubbsy - I'm always on a bender of some kind :) At least I gave up the kit lens for a few shots here :)

Piro - #4 - that's what grabbed me as I spotted it driving home from the meet.

MHD in another thread wrote:quite dangerous for photographers actually as you find yourself framing pictures as you drive....

Geoff - thanks, I've been attempting to move out of my "snapshot mode" and actually try to strain the brain a bit recently.

Matt - no people picts... well spotted. Portraiture is my untamed frontier, I guess I should work on that :D
I'm not far off ordering a SB-600 to go with the 800 to put together a really basic studio kit so i can get into portraiture a bit more.

Steve - I guess we could adapt a slogan for winter: "cold one day, artic the next!" Really, It's not that bad (yet). It's at least another month before we have a -6 deg overnighter!
