I saw this flag fluttering against the breeze with a wonderful sunset behind it. I was hoping to try and capture some of the flags translucency.

I found the exposure quite difficult as the flag itself was relatively dark against the bright background. No flash available.

For pp'ing, I used ACR and 1st converted exposing for the background and then did the same for the flags exposure. Did some more curves adjustment and some copying and pasting (blending) and ended up with this.

Excellent shot antman and the phrase "a picture tells a thousand words" certainly rings true for me with this pic :)

Thank you for the comments.

I was pleased with how it turned out. There was a fair wind blowing and it tool quite a number of exposures to get one with most of the stars showing (0ver 70 :oops: ).

Seems like quite an appropriate time to show the flag with ANZAC day coming up.
