During the week, the local fire dept. conducted a controlled burn off in the reserve backing onto our property. Unfortunately I had to be at work the day they conducted the burn off

This is the aftermath (still smouldering in parts). I would hate to see what a real bush fire would do....

...I was only unhappy about missing out on some "action" shots. Mate, trust me, we have been here for 8 years and this is the 1st time its been done in that time,...in my view its a good thing.

..... would have been good to shot some action shots of the burn off, but the system does not let you know when. Much harder with a 9-5 type job....... try giving the local fire department a call and explain what you would like to do, and maybe 1 or 2 prints as a gift might help.......

I like the first one, nice dof. You may want to try a portrait of that stump to cut out some of the right hand side. I find that there is a bit too much distraction on the right.

Second one doesn't do much for me, nothing to hold my attention.
