On Easter Saturday a few of us took our cameras along to Christ Church Cathedral in Newcastle. They were setting up flowers for Easter Sunday and the place smelt fantastic. This batch of pics is my favourite shots of the stained glass. Many more can be found here. All shots were taken with the 24-120 VR. Click a pic for a larger version.

Great shots Stubbs. Stained windows are always fun arent they! One of them in there might look a bit better with some perspective correction?

how did you get them so vivid without overexposing them?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Wendell - It was in the afternoon and most of the glass was on the southern side of the church.

Stubbsy,
really nicely done as expected from you :) .

It is kind of sad that this is an art for which the skills are being lost in society

Very nice Peter,

I was trying to figure out how you would compose these shots as there was a great deal of dynamic range between the glass and the bricks.

It just goes to show that you lean something new every day.
