tried some self portrait action style shots (one of which is in the sticky) the other day and while there was much frustration had due to self timer it was fun.

Both taken with D70 and 15mm zenitar fish (really want the 10.5) and both with 2 flashes and self timer. because the action was slightly lame i tried to find some interesting/urban decay style places to shoot.

so tear em apart.. please :)

I like these shots and appreciate how hard it would have been to use the self timer

I am also impressed with the Zenitar 15mm

Impressive for SP.

First one is a better shot because it screams action more, but it would be better with a little more sharpness. Second image is ultra sharp, but doesn't say action. NOw if only you could get something between the two. Regardless I'd be damn happy if I managed to set up a timer AND get myself in the shot given the split second timing involved.

cheers the zenitar really is a nice lense the more i use it the more i like it.

the first one is alot sharper than it looks compressed but you are right focus is on the forground and the background gets a little soft.

and the stop motion was a little too stop motion maybe slower exposure more power/distance from the flashes to bring down the flash speed abit would introduce some motion blur to me and leave the scene sharp

Considering an action SP with flash and timer, these are quite impressive.

I must ask...... how long did it take you to break the wall down with your bike?

haha no damage to that one not that it matter too much given the whole place is going to be ripped down, but made it about 15 times nothing but rubber(to the whhels) for the shoot of which about 4 where about right, that being the only one where you can see my face a little.
