If you're not one of those PP haters
you might try applying some curves to the first two, I believe you can turn them into something quite moody and/or dramatic.

As for the last one I think its the contrast between what comes across as a "Loved Boat" and an "O'l Beast" that I like. Its was the 2 being mored together that originally got my attention.
