The mighty Snowy

Challenging conditions, Sun overhead (lots of haze). Did a gradient blend in PP to try to control the sky blow out somewhat

Middle reaches of the snowy river near the NSW-VIC border (Kosciouzsko NP Barry Way)

Its very nice composition.

Shame about the light but you have done well here Scott.

I agree. Great composition and draws you into the image but lighting and colour is unfortunately flat.

As you said, lighting was harsh but you did the best you could. Maybe try a bit more experimenting with Photoshop.

good job with the gradient blend, perhaps you could increase the contrast in it so it isn't so hazy? I love that area, seeing your photo makes me want to go back.

Like this one quite a lot, Scott. Well done. I think the sky looks fine and I think slight haziness actually suits it nicely.

Yes... the haze is there unfortunately... playing with PS does not remove it...

We are looking across many km's there, way to avoid the haze would be to shoot in the morning and pray for no fog :) But we were on the road so I had to shoot it when I did... But there is some great camping down there so I am sure it will not be the last attempt!
