It is an old slide that you have scanned and coloured?
mmm Not sure the shirt on the child reminds me of one I had when I was younger.

Mal, I appreciate you having a look. I guess my 1944 print from slide doesn't warrant more.
I purchased a box of over 1,000 slides at an estate sale and this is one of many pre-1950 color slides. I did no color enhancements or adjustments. The slide was speckled with dust particles and rather than clean them chemically (if that's even possible) I pp the dust using the salt and pepper filter. There are several other slides whose colors are a testament to Kodak of that time period. Sixty-two years old and they look like this...amazing.
I am going to scan them and put the images on cd/dvd. Does anyone have any other preservation suggestions?

I've had some success using air to remove dust, but it does depend on how much you value a slide. A blower brush can work, but a vacuum cleaner in another room is the best bet. You want the outlet somewhere else because it's blowing dust everywhere.
As far as scanning goes, I dunno. I've only used a basic scanner that gave me ~12MP but I've never been too happy with the images (it's over 5 years old) but I decided that I didn't care that much, so I scanned most of my slides/negs and dumped them. I have about 300 left from a WA trip that I'm thinking of getting professionally scanned, but the $2/ea is putting me off.
