Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Formula 1 GPs mean that I make popcorn... and making popcorn means Puppy Dog is My Friend
She has this cute thing where her eyes go cross-eyed just before she bites and I tried to capture it but couldn't really get the camera in the right position.
The shots were tricky : she'd walk away if I used the flash, so I had to go ISO1600. Also, despite a little indirect natural light and a tungsten-style desktop lamp, she wasn't a big fan of interrogation-style lights shining at her either.
In these lighting conditions, the camera's autofocus was struggling so I had to pre-set the focus area to about 45cm away from the camera and try to get her to that distance, without actually looking through the viewfinder. (Yeah, I was also trying to watch the GP while this was going on).
C&C welcome. This exercise was fun and will be re-visited in 3 weeks during the San Marino GP. However, in doing this exercise I discovered some problems (?) with the camera (?) which can be seen in the second shot above and which I've detailed here:

#4 is my favourite as well. Very cute dog makes for very cute photos. Really like the angle and shallow DOF (with nice sharp eyes).
Cheers,

#4 shows all of the dogs face, and has already been mentioned, nice sharp eyes. #1 is hilarious - a ferocious (is that how you spell it) look from a cuty puppy. From your description she is also one smart pup.

Just what do you think you're doing Dave?
