Noosa - Moody pt 2

plan to shoot all the girls during the short time span in early mornign light and afternoon light, the girls range always dominates the boys range and the catalogue will be full of these moody art directed shots
these scenes will take alot of planning to make sure we work fast and safely and lots of technical lighting knowhow to pull off exactly what i want
shooting in the shade, model lying down, romantic scene, strobe lights illuminating model
shooting last light, model walking on water kicking the water lots of splashes, b. model lying on the rocks
illuminated by two of the huge strobe lights
the lighting effect
I shot this on the runway there are two main lights one strong one on the right(side lighting) and one up higher to the left that isn't as powerful illuminating her back
I will have a similar setup with 2 strobes when shooting thse scenes.
shooting in afternoon light, will use the strobes here, on the rocks model leaning against the rocks, the strobes will have mininal effect under high light but in the shadows they will work just fine
in these brighter scenes i may not have to use the strobes
model lying on rock
model walking closer to where i am, half body shot
model either laking on rocks or lying down on them
model leaning against rock, will use the strobes here
model lying on rocks, wil use strobes here
1. model lying on sand, use strobes, me on step ladder up high, shooting down
2. model walks across fingers stroking grass, use strobe to illuminate model in backlighted scene
3. model with long brunette hair lying down hair spread out over golden grass, me on step ladder up high shooting down, may use strobes
4. model standing on rocks(dry bit) use telephoto shoot tight get spashing waves in the background, model in backlit scene, will use strobes to illuminate her
I do have plan b and c just in case things don't work out
and if your wondering i will have two lighting assistants the strobe lights are high powerd 600 watt lights(2 sec recycle time) they don't produce heat and are outdoors proof, they get their powersource from a waterproof battery pack that is very modern and lightweight, the lighting guy wears it like a backpack. One strobe will have a snoot on it to narrow the light(kids ar emuch smaller than adults) the 2nd strobe will have a difusser on it, i will have one strong light(main modelling light) the other a acts as a balanced fill light.
Both lights are radio slaved to a radio unit on the d2x, it's one funky setup!
