With the first one, I would crop the vast majority of the top of the image until the snakes head is about 1/3 of the way down from the new top. The top as it is is all dead space... This is a nice image, if you like snakes.

The first pic would be better cropped in a wide pano, without all of the height above the head. Second shot should fill most people with dread. Not sure about the third photo, your legs being out of focus I find distracting.

At a guess I'd say a 1-2 year old Southern QLD carpet python ? My wife & I have three, two girls and a boy. All have the markings of the South East QLD carpet pythons. When I get back to Australia I'll have to see about taking some photos to post. Ours are 5-7 years old now and the biggest girl is nudging 10 feet in length, at least that is the last time I saw her.

i thought about the fist as a lanscape format but i thought i would see how it was taken this way.
the second was a bit of a challange as where we feed her is only a smallish enclosure so getting good light and being in there with the camera was hard, i do have one as she took the mouse but ill see if i can get a better one next feeding.

I was just moving her around and she grapped my camera so i thought i would show her with it, and it being the only camera that i really have i had to spin it around to get the shot
She is a 1 1/2 yr Coastal Carpet.

Anyway guys thanks for the comments so far and i hope to get some more shots on here shortly.

Nice snake, we found one in our compost heap yesterday, a little brown fella about 40cm long, orangey belly, diamond shaped head so most probably not too venemous. He had a light brown diamond shape on the top of his head. I phoned the local snake catcher in Coffs and he wasn't able to identify it. It was too dark to photograph well and he was very upset so we let him go.

i like the first one mostly because its natural looking terrain.
