almost split lighting....
even tho there are small catch lights in your eyes, i find it too dark, even if that was the mood you were aimin' for. Just a tad more light in your eyes would work better..just my two cents tho
I'm certainly no protrait critic but I find that I'm wanting to see the left eye lit up.

Prefer the B&W possbly because the shadows are darker in the colored version... Would also like to have seen maybe the head turned a little to the subject's right and get a smidge more light in his right eye... I really like the framing and the creativity... Aka Andrew
Thanks for the comments.. first time ive ever tried doing a self portrait and i only took one photo.. ill play around with the lighting in a bit and try again

If you can reflect just a little light on the left side of your face, I think it would be much stronger.
