Hi All, Well today i did some work for my boss who rang and asked if i could do some pics for him of a new building in the making, Red Rooster.
Here is where i work when i work at what i call my other job, the one that helps fund my habit sometimes as i drive a truck when they need me. We as well as deliver concrete for house slabs etc and also make lots of different concrete products like these big tilt up slabs.
All pics taken with the D2X and the 18-70 kit lens.

The above pics are at our depot where they were loading the panels.
Here we have the panels onsite and being erected.

Not quiet Matt, but yes like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Save a lot of building i guess this way and yes 1 day nothing next day a building.

Interesting pictorial into this type of construction John - thanks for sharing. I find construction really interesting as I know very little about it etc. Australia - your chicken is ready! :)

they can churn em out these days.

my next door neighbour demolished his house ( in one day too, I might add)
which was also amazing. no dozers or anything, just around 20 or so angry kiwis, although it took them a few days to clear the rubbish from the site and used a bobcat for that.

but after they laid the slab a truck arrived early one morning with pre fab timber frames. I went out early and to my utter amazement there was a complete 2 storey framework up that arvo.
took em a while to brick that all up but I was amazed at how quick it all happens.

I guess the big franchises like maccas kfc and the like have a standard design that they can just churn out.
