#3 and #4 are great and my pic of the bunch, I'd probably be leading you astray if I offered any help with the sb-800, (blind leading the blind).
The last shot is really interesting, what settings did you have the Sb-800 set at ?

Shaun, Great shots mate and well yeh i have given up trying to work the flash out.LOL I have not been able to work that repeat flash out as i think i have seen a lot of jouno's use it i think well looks like it to me, but have not worked it out. I have aquired a Metz flash so this a pic of my setup now and will give it a go soon at speedway.
Cheers
John

what
model Metz is that ? CT5 ??
If you don't mind me asking, what is your reasoning for ditching the SB800 in favour of the Metz ? I'd have thought the SB800 would be quite an advancement over the Metz - especially with a late
model Nikon dSLR(though I am far from an expert on these matters

)

Wow - Off Topic, but that's a seriously sized Flash.
Love how it has a hand grip for easier handholding. I'm with Aussie Dave, why the change of flash ?

This flash is a 60CT 2 Metz, i am going to give it a try as want something with a bit of punch to it as a mate used to shoot speedway with film and had it sitting home doing nothing so i pinched it too try. It has a seperate battery that you charge up and yeh i like the SB800, but i have noticed 1 fellow who shoots canon has 2 flashes on on camera and one on a flash bracket, so yeh will still use sb800 early evening and then swap over to the Metz, all trial and error of course.

Well definitely keen to hear how your trial and error does John. Looks like a fun toy to play with regardless.

as for the repeater flash, i can get it to work on a 2 second shutter, but thats pretty useless when i am trying to shot around 160 to 200 at night.
alpha_7 - thats just a sequence of 3 shots stitched together
thats a massive flash bbj
