That's a great shot Paul... Compositionally, it may have looked better with a little more sky in the shot, but I understand what you were aiming for...

Is that a mine in the foreground??? Someone should warn the council... :lol:

Why do you think it's empty

I have another with more sky I'll submit when I have chance, it also empasizes the sand a bit more

Paul, I love it, simply love it. It has this real fluid feel to it, like it could change at anytime. Gorgeous, and a bit different to your usual beach scapes.

A very powerful and surreal image Paul. Terrific composition and exposure. You have deftly broken the silence of that vast empty space in the foreground by including that rather unusual band of reflection. I definitely like the landscape version best.

Don't let go, they are gorgeous and I love viewing your work. Thanks for posting the 'Leek Sister' version, its gorgeous too, I really like the extra bit of sky!

Masterful! Alien landscape right here on Earth. That is fine art. I think a figure standing in the corner of the pool....with blue swimmers...would have been the icing on the cake. Maybe a young female with long blonde hair. It would add a surreal element.

Must admit I prefer the original - it loses the surreal look with the sky.
