Up close and personalThis is another image of elle that I was playing with today and thought I'd ask for a few comments and some critique.

Hi Michael. I think the B&W conversion is good, there are nice tones in it. The thing I find distracting is that as you move down her face you get more out of focus, but if you look at her forehead that is nice and sharp. Perhaps you could have either changed your focus point to make the mouth in focus as well, or even increased your depth of field to get the whole head in focus.
Just my opinion though, it's a nice portrait compositionally.
IT's weird, I took a shot at f11 of one flower on top of another, and the one behind was completely out of focus... I thought f11 should have covered it but obviously not.
