I like the peek of the brooding sky in the first, but absolutely love the light in both...
I was watching the sky thinking, hmmm, nice light... Will have to go play after the rain, the light's bloody great just before or just after a storm...

I think it's the angles of both images that i find appealing. The deep rich reds are likewise appealing.

It was a good day for photography despite the rain - very moody lighting and clouds
And so much water this afternoon! Had my D50 wrapped in plastic

I love the feel of the second. Excellent - nice and gritty urban feel to it.

I like both of these - the broody sky makes the first IMHO. I'm a little conflicted about the second since I feel it would have a more gritty feel if it wasn't so saturated (red in particular looks very high)

Pharmer,
I like both of these images, but like Peter find the second shot looks a little over saturated for my tastes.

Love the first one, its great. Interesting angle, and the clouds really add to it. The second one.. um, its a brick wall, and this one doesn't excite me I'm afraid.
