I was hired to do a shoot for a local entertainer in my studio. He's quite a talent and is very close to signing a multi million dollar deal with a major hotel in Las Vegas. Hopefully he'll take me with him and I can start shooting more celebrities. These photos were much warmer than they appear. I still have no idea how to prevent saving raw to jpeg without losing saturation. Any tips on this?

Anyway, here's are some of my favs from the series.

Technical details.

I shot with 3 different lenses. 12-24 Tokina, 24-120 VR and 85mm 1.8D. I am sure you all can guess which one was used for which lens. The background was white seamless paper and I used 2 strobes to blow it out.

Johnny. A great shoot. #1 is the standout for me given he's a hypnotist. Then the two Wendell suggests (although I'm also quite partial to the naked one where he's giving the thumbs up sign)

in the pic where he has his sunnies on, i can see the reflection of a large square softbox and on the left shade a flash
was this a twin light setup?
that pic also looks like it was taken with a fisheye for dramatic effect, nicely done. you must of been quite high up to have taken that shot, and what makes it even better is that i don't see your reflection on his sunglases

regardign your loss of saturation issue

just experiment with oversaturating the image to compensate for the jpg export but truly the difference is negligable from what i see here the images look saturated enough especially after using a lightbox

Thanks for all the wonderful comments.

Wendellt:
I never used a fisheye lens. I used my Tokina wide angle, and I wasn't high up at all. I was practically in his face, while standing on only a chair.
I have a total of 4 strobes. You are right about the large softbox, on the left was a small umbrella.

Do you think it's ok to have the reflection on his sunnies, or should it be removed?
